LOCAL RULES

1. Out of Bounds (Rule 27)

a) Beyond all boundary walls and fences.
b) Beyond the wall and the line it creates in dividing the 2nd/11th and 3rd/12th Holes
c) In or over the grip dividing the 1st/10th and 9th/18th Holes, except when playing the 1st/10th Holes
d) In or over the ditch parallel to the fairway left of the 4th/13th Holes.

2. Water Hazards (Rule 26)

a) The ditches on both sides of the 4th/13th Hole, the ditch inside the boundary fence to the left of the 5th/14th green, and all ditches running parallel to fairways are Lateral Water Hazards and are defined by red stakes.
b) All other ditches are water hazards and are defined by yellow stakes

3. Ground Under Repair (Rule 25-1)

a) The grip which runs between the 1st/10th and 9th/18th Holes is Groung Under Repair when playing the 1st/10th Hole. If a ball lies in the grip or so near that the grip interferes with the player's stance or the area of his intended swing, relief may be obtained without penalty, in accordance with Rule 25-1b).
b) Sections of bridges outside hazard lines are classed as immovable objects.

4. Integral Parts of the Course

a) All sections of bridges not defined in 3b are integral parts of the course.
b) Relief may be taken without penalty on all man-made paths.

5. Stones in Bunkers

are moveable Obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies)

6. Protection of Young Trees

-identified by stakes, etc. If such a tree interferes with a player's stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b(i) (Immovable Obstructions). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.

7. Practice Bunker

On the 6th/15th Hole is deemed to be Through the green, and declared Ground Under Repair. Relief may be obtained under Rule 25-1b).

8. Practice Putting Green

The ball must be lifted and dropped at a point on the course which is (a) not nearer the hole, and (b) not in a hazard - nearest to where the ball lies. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.

9. Tractor Marks

Relief may be taken without penalty.

Penalty for breech of Rules: Matchplay - loss of holes, Strokeplay - two strokes. A full list of rules and codes of conduct are available in the members handbook
