Welcome Ladies!

Welcome to the Ladies Section at Bradford Moor Golf Club.
Although a small section we are a very friendly, sociable and competitive group of ladies, with a range of golfing experience.
There has been a Ladies Section at Bradford Moor since the Club was founded in 1906, and some of the trophies we play for today, date back to those early years. The Club Par was recorded as a very generous 80 in 1913, over the years this has reduced to our present Par of 70.
One of our longstanding Lady members was Mrs Ivy Davison who held both Honorary Captain and President roles during her years at Bradford Moor. She presented Trophies to the Ladies Section which we continue to play for, and also introduced the Mixed Open Competition, initially as a Foursomes but now played as a Fourball Competition, which has been running for around 50 years and is well known in and around the Bradford area.
We pride ourselves in having a very good relationship with the Men’s section and have a variety of Mixed events planned through the year including the popular 3 Men and a Lady Team event.
The Golfing achievements of the Ladies Section include winning the Handicap Trophy of the Bradford & District Ladies Golfing Association.
We have been proud members of the Bradford and District Evening League, since its creation over 40 years ago, and have a very successful history, having won the inaugural Team Championship in 1983 and as well as being semi-finalists and runners up, we have been crowned the overall League Champions on 2 occasions.
Club competitions
Our regular Competition Day is Tuesday but we do have alternative day competitions at the weekends too. Over winter we continue to play competitively but over 9 holes
Inter-club matches 2021-22
This year in the Evening League we have drawn Branshaw, South Bradford, The Manor and Bingley St Ives, we also have Knockout Foursome matches against Shipley and Bradford.
Good luck to all the ladies representing Bradford Moor in these matches.
